About
Stone Theory Studio (formerly Heath Lyons Manufacturing Jeweller) is a jewellery workshop and retail studio space based in Eaglehawk, Bendigo, centred on material, form, and quality.
It brings together sterling silver jewellery, natural gemstones, and curated crystals within a working studio environment - where pieces are not only displayed, but designed, made, and repaired on site.
A Continuation, Refined
For over 20 years, this space has been home to jewellery making and repair in Bendigo under the Heath Lyons name.
Now redefined as Stone Theory Studio, it continues that legacy with a renewed focus - placing material and craftsmanship at the centre of everything.
The same hands, the same knowledge, and the same standard of work remain. The name has changed, but the foundation has not.
Jewellery, Made and Repaired
At the core of the studio is a fully operational jeweller’s workshop.
With over 40 years of combined experience in jewellery making and repair, the focus is on precision, durability, and understanding how pieces are constructed and worn over time.
Jewellery repair is not treated as an afterthought - it is a central part of the practice. From ring resizing to stone setting and restoration, each piece is approached with care for both its material and its history.
Alongside repair work, a collection of sterling silver jewellery is designed and made in-house, set with natural gemstones and shaped with a focus on wearability and form.
Stones, Considered
Stone Theory Studio also curates and offers natural crystals and gemstones as objects in their own right.
Selected for their structure, surface, and origin, these pieces are presented without excess - not as trend-driven items, but as materials to be observed, handled, and understood.
While some may connect with stones through meaning, the focus remains on what they are: natural objects formed over time, each with its own unique beauty and character.
The Studio
Led by Amber Lyons, the studio reflects decades of experience across jewellery design, repair, manufacture and gemstone knowledge.
Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of material - how it behaves, how it wears, and how it lasts.
Supported by a highly experienced workshop team, including Susan Hey, a specialist in jewellery repair and bead and pearl rethreading, the studio continues to deliver the same level of craftsmanship it has become known for in Bendigo and Eaglehawk.
A Different Kind of Jewellery Store
Stone Theory Studio is not built around volume or trend.
It is a space for considered pieces - jewellery designed to be worn long-term, and stones selected for their material presence.
Repair, restoration, and longevity sit alongside new work, creating a more complete approach to how jewellery and objects are owned, worn, and kept.
