At Stone Theory Studio, we provide professional watch battery replacement and watch band services from our Eaglehawk workshop.
Whether your watch has stopped, your band has broken, or you simply need a replacement strap fitted, we're here to help.
Please note that we do not perform complex watch repairs or watch servicing.
Watchmakers and jewellers are different trades. While we can assist with batteries, bands and minor watch-related repairs, watches requiring servicing, movement repairs or internal mechanical work should be referred to a qualified watchmaker.
Watch Battery Replacement
Most watch battery replacements can be completed while you wait.
The only exceptions are during busy periods, when there may be customers ahead of you, or if you have multiple watches requiring attention.
We carry a wide range of quality watch batteries and regularly replenish our stock to ensure batteries are fresh and performing at their best.
Unlike businesses that may hold battery stock for years, we purchase batteries frequently to minimise the risk of batteries losing power before they are even installed.
Every battery is tested before installation to ensure it is operating at full voltage.
How Long Should A Watch Battery Last?
A quality watch battery should typically last 12 months or longer.
If your battery fails significantly earlier than expected, it is often an indication that the watch itself requires servicing and is no longer operating efficiently.
This is not a battery issue and it is not something we can tell when changing the battery.
In these situations, we recommend consulting a qualified watchmaker who can inspect and service the movement.
Is There A Warranty On Watch Batteries?
No.
Because battery life is affected by the condition of the watch movement itself, it is impossible to guarantee how long a battery will last once installed.
However, every battery is tested prior to fitting to ensure it is operating at full power.
If a watch repeatedly drains batteries, this is usually a sign that the watch requires professional servicing.
Watch Bands & Strap Replacement
We can supply, fit and adjust a range of watch bands and straps.
Services include:

Can Any Watch Band Be Replaced?
Not always.
Some watches are designed to accept standard replacement bands, while others use proprietary fittings that are unique to the manufacturer.
For this reason, we always assess the watch first before recommending a replacement band.
Where suitable, we can supply and fit replacement leather straps and order replacement metal bands.
